Leading fireplace supplier, Chesney’s, has an outstanding reputation for exquisite quality and craftsmanship.

Founded 30 years ago and still family owned, Chesney’s is the strongest luxury brand in the UK decorative heating market and a solid presence in the US and Chinese markets. Success has been based on its commitment to good design, intelligent engineering, innovation and outstanding service.

The company has recently re-furbished and extended its flagship showrooms in Battersea Park Road, a unique gallery-like space which houses London’s largest selection of contemporary and traditional fireplaces and there are plans to open two further London showrooms in 2017 to provide easier access to its products and services.

As well as an extensive range of fireplaces, Chesney’s manufactures and sells a wide range of products, including fireplace accessories, high efficiency gas fires, an award-winning range of wood burning stoves and electrical heating products. It also has an established architectural division specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of architectural stone work on high end residential projects in the UK and US.

Good design is intrinsic to every Chesney’s product. The range of period fireplaces are exact copies of antique originals, while the contemporary fireplaces reflect current trends in interior design. Chesney’s heating appliances recognise the need to combine aesthetically pleasing design with the latest energy efficient and climate friendly technology.

Every year sees the launch of a new collection, a new collaboration with some of the biggest names in design and an ever stronger commitment to providing the very best product possible, ensuring that they are leaders in their field and unrivalled in their industry. Chesney’s has a strong affiliation with renowned designers who have created their own capsule collections and limited-edition pieces for the brand including Kelly Hoppen, Jasper Conran, Tim Gosling, Eric Cohler, Jane Churchill and Matthew Hilton.

Chesney’s particularly prides itself on its bespoke service. A client may wish to recreate a particular mantel for a particular room of a specific size and proportion, perhaps in a certain colour of marble. All of this can be facilitated by Chesney’s, which will provide a consultation to discuss the project in depth and provide full working drawings and samples of material for approval before any work is carried out, resulting in a perfectly unique fireplace.

The company has a flagship showroom in London and also sells its product elsewhere in the UK, Ireland, Europe and the Middle East through around 150 independent retailers, plus a wholly owned subsidiary company in the US, Chesney’s Inc., with showrooms in Manhattan and warehousing in New Jersey, which also supplies a small number of independent retailers around the country. The company has a joint venture company in China. There are also flagship Chesney’s branded showrooms in Beijing and Shanghai and, most recently, Shenzhen.

With an unmatched brand in its sector and a uniquely broad portfolio of excellent products, including high profile collections with internationally recognised, multi-disciplinary designers, Chesney’s is seeing strong growth in all its markets, including the UK, Europe, USA and mainland China. Future growth is planned with the opening of three new London stores, a further Chinese showroom in the city of Ningbo and a second showroom in the US, all in the course of 2017 to 2018. Chesney’s is also launching an extensive range of luxury outdoor cooking and heating products in the spring 2017.
