Can’t stop thinking about sandy beaches and warm water lapping at your feet? We’ve partnered with The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah to offer one lucky winner and guest a bucket-list worthy three-night stay at the luxurious island resort, including a sunset dolphin cruise and guided snorkelling session exploring the nearby house reef.
Situated just 55-minutes by domestic plane from nearby Kooddoo island, followed by a five-minute speedboat, The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah is a 2km sand-fringed paradise, cocooned by turquoise lagoons, calming ocean blue hues and lush natural wilderness of over 2,500 coconut palm trees. Connected to its sister island, The Residence Maldives at Falhumaafushi, by the longest private bridge in the Maldives, the resort offers guests additional spacious villas, a Spa by Clarins, Beach Club, diverse dining, water sports, a dive centre, bespoke wellness programmes and even a sandy castaway island where guests can relax and unwind in hammocks suspended above the lagoon.
Sprawled across the island, 173 Beach, Lagoon and Water Villas overlook dappled turquoise waters with both sunrise and sunset views. Each Villa has its very own private pool and decking, indoor and outdoor shower, deep bathtub and king size bed. The luxuriously appointed villas are all designed with plenty of natural light which blends the beauty of traditional Maldivian architecture with contemporary flair.
The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah’s beachfront restaurant, The Dining Room, features dishes infused with flavours from around the world, including Asian and Indian Ocean specialities. Li Bai, the sister of the restaurant in Singapore, serves exquisite classic Cantonese dishes, from delicate dumplings to tasty, stir-fried dishes. For dazzling sunsets, sharing plates and cocktails, guests should head to Long Island; or alternatively, Mediterranean tapas and light lunches are served up at Café del Sol at The Beach Club, next to the 42-metre infinity pool.
Floating elegantly over the water, 10 round, thatched-roof pavilions are home to The Spa by Clarins. With panoramic backdrops of the Indian Ocean and the lagoon, each pavilion is equipped for singles and couples alike, offering an array of holistic and Ayurvedic treatments for mind, body and soul. A unique addition to the spa, the neighbouring herb garden has been specifically designed for the spa, housing fresh herbs and spices, picked by the therapists and used in treatments, meaning all Asian treatments are infused with the most local ingredients.
For the adventurers, guests can take part in complimentary water sports including kayaking and windsurfing, try sunrise and sunset yoga sessions at the outdoor yoga pavilion, challenge themselves to a floating HIIT or yoga class at the Beach Club pool, and push fitness levels at the fitness centre.
Competition closes at midnight on 31 May 2021.
