We’ve teamed up with CBBC Summer Social 2018 to offer C&TH readers the opportunity to win family tickets to the UK’s biggest kids event and ultimate summer day out. Four winners mean four times the chances, so enter now for an unforgettable day out for all the family…
Taking place on 3 – 5 August 2018 in Croxteth County Park in Liverpool, CBBC Summer Social is the BBC’s biggest ever kids event, and the only festival to offer 6-12-year-olds (and their families) a unique line-up of CBBC and CBeebies favourites alongside a host of international music artists.
New to the bill are pop-rock trio New Hope Club and Shrek the Musical. Generating over 1.1 million streams over the last month, global sensation New Hope Club, consisting of Reece Bibbly, Blake Richardson and George Smith, will be bringing their pop-rock hits to Liverpool this summer. Taking a break from their global arena tour with pop band The Vamps, the band will be performing favourites including Fixed, Tiger Feet, Water and Start Over Again and guaranteed to be a festival highlight.
West End and Broadway hit, Shrek the Musical, has also been added to the bill for Sunday 5th August. The theatre adaptation of the animation has been picking up excellent reviews so far this year whilst on its UK and Ireland tour, with a feisty Princess, a lovestruck Dragon and all the charm of an Ogre, bringing the magic of the big screen to Croxteth County Park.
Other live musical performances will include Bars & Melody, Johnny Orlando & Mackenzie Ziegler, Matt Terry, Max & Harvey, The Next Step, Sophia Grace, Union J, Kidz Bop and more.
For the younger fans, CBeebies’ royalty Mr Tumble will be on site along with a CBeebies Village packed with enticing activities and performances including Sam & Mark and Andy Day & The Odd Socks.
Revellers can also enjoy imaginative and immersive activity zones, theatre shows and creative workshops as well as character walkabouts, vlogger meet and greets, live appearances from the most popular children’s authors and much more.
The beautiful Croxteth Country Park is easily accessible by road or bus and ample parking will be available on site. The whole programme is aimed at children under 12 years of age and Early Bird tickets are now on sale priced from £28.
