  • Oxford Street

    One of the most highly anticipated Christmas switch-ons in the country, this year Oxford Street are lighting the West End in a more sustainable style. 27 spectacular LED light curtains comprising of 220,000 lights will be suspended high above the iconic street, showcasing an array of specially curated festive content. What’s more, the new state-of-the-art display is set to save up to 90 per cent energy as opposed to more traditional light exhibitions.

    When? 21 November. Enjoy live performances provided by Capital XTRA as well as special one-night only offers, events and gigs from some of Oxford Street’s most beloved brands.


  • Eccleston Yards

    Amidst the foray of festive madness, head to Mayfair and Belgravia’s Eccleston Yards to see this year’s wellbeing-inspired Christmas light instillation. Designed by immersive art experts Squidsoup, the multi-sensory display, Wave, comprises of 500 illuminative orbs, each with their own soothing ‘voice’, and emits a tranquil and enchanting energy procured by the fusion of calming colours and lights.

    When? 28 November 2019 – 11 January 2020

  • Marylebone Village

    Nestled within the upscale district of Marylebone, Marylebone Village poses an impressive annual display of twinkling Christmas lights. This year, all proceeds from the highly anticipated switch-on will be donated to the ground-breaking charity Teenage Cancer Trust.

    When? Wednesday 13 November, 3 – 7pm. Enjoy an array of festive food and drink, live music, a ride on the Ferris Wheel and a visit to Santa’s Grotto, along with an exciting light switch-on from a special celebrity guest.

  • Covent Garden

    London’s favourite shopping, dining and culture destination becomes even more magical at Christmas when the twinkling lights are up and the famous 55ft Christmas tree is elegantly adorned. While you’re admiring the 115,000-strong lights sprinkled across the piazza, be sure to check out the Markey Building’s giant gingerbread installation, crafted from London-based bakery Biscuiteers, as well as the annual handpicked Christmas tree, enhanced with over 30,000 sparkling lights.

    When? 12 November. Don’t miss out on an array of special in-store experiences, an exclusive Christmas pop up from the Royal Opera House, festive cocktails from Henrietta Hotel’s Miracle Pop Up Bar, and many more fantastic festivities.

  • Seven Dials

    Watch the West End’s spectacular seven-street shopping and dining hub illuminate with this year’s dazzling Christmas lights display.

    When? 14 November, 5 – 9pm. Expect a whole host of merry events and activities, from wreath making and live music, to eco-friendly glitter makeovers, discounted shopping and complimentary bubbles at the Starry Night pop-up bar, all in support of Shelter.


  • Coal Drops Yard

    This year, Coal Drops Yard will become a gleaming Winter Wonderland, filled with kaleidoscopic lights and trees in a Northern Lights-inspired spectacular. Take a trip to the King’s Cross cultural hub and delight in a dose of festive shopping and wining and dining while admiring the pretty illuminative display.

    When? 13th November, 5.30pm – 8pm, in which the lucky winner of a live music game, ‘Famous First Words’ – a yuletide singing competition – will get the chance to switch on the lights. Whether taking part in the sing-song or not, head to the Yard for choral performances, mince pies and mulled wine from The Drop, spiced cocktail Ponche from El Pastor and much, much more to kick-start the festivities.
