    The Shard

    The top 20 storeys of the Shard will light up this Christmas, designed to show gratitude to all NHS staff and key workers for keeping us safe during the pandemic this year. So put a sparkle in your step and keep an eye out for the Shard’s twinkling lights, with 575 LED lights glittering blue and white across one of Western Europe’s tallest buildings.

  • Mayfair Christmas Lights

    Mayfair & Belgravia Christmas Lights

    This year’s Christmas lights are bigger and better than ever before, with dazzling displays throughout Mayfair and Belgravia. Explore the brand-new Christmas lights at Motcomb Street as nine LED banners display gorgeous rainbows that transform into a glittering white sparkle. Pass through the beautifully lit archway leading to the bright Christmas tree at Halkin Arcade or continue on to capture an instagram-worthy selfie in front of sparkling angel wings. If that’s not enough to get you in the festive mood, venture on to Mayfair’s magical colour changing trees at South Molton or indulge in a take-away hot chocolate or mulled wine at the festive lodges in Brown Hard Gardens.

    Regent Street & St James’s

    The Spirit of Christmas, the largest lights installation in the country, has been sprinkled across the streets of Regent Street and St James’s, creating a dazzling warm canopy of light during these unusual times. The iconic lights display may not have had a switch on event this year but there are plenty of other ways to get in the festive spirit this Christmas, with takeaway services, hampers and click-and-collect virtual shopping.

  • Chelsea Christmas Lights

    Chelsea Christmas Lights

    The much-loved Christmas light display has returned to Chelsea this year, with bigger than ever glittering displays across Duke of York Square, Sloane Square, Pavilion Road and King’s Road. Bringing some Christmas cheer to locals and Londoners alike, King’s Road’s shimmering Christmas lights are inspired by the crown of King Charles II who restored Christmas to the nation after Oliver Cromwell’s ban on such festivities. Visit the beautiful display for some much-loved window shopping, a take-away hot chocolate, and a sprinkle of Christmas magic.

    One of the most highly anticipated Christmas switch-ons in the country, this year Oxford Street are shining a light on the nation’s heroes as a mark of gratitude and to celebrate the support and kindness that has been sprinkled throughout the country. Members of the public are encouraged to visit the Oxford Street website and nominate their 2020 Hero for a chance to win a £500 shopping spree and witness a new hero’s name illuminating the street every week.

  • Covent Garden

    London’s favourite shopping, dining and culture destination becomes even more magical at Christmas when the twinkling lights are up and the famous 60ft British-grown Christmas tree is elegantly adorned. Although there will be no live event this year, take a stroll around Covent Garden and witness the magical 115,000 dazzling lights sprinkled across the Piazza.

    Wembley Park Winterfest

    Wembley Park will be shining brighter than ever with the return of Winterfest, a free immersive light trail. This year’s theme is ‘United in Light’, spreading Christmas cheer and giving friends and family uplifting moments to celebrate together, at a time when it is needed most. With a brand-new light installation, ‘Reflections of the Future’ which includes a mesmerising 100m mirrored corridor of illuminations, this is a light-filled festival you won’t want to miss.

  • Carnaby Christmas Lights

    Choose Love in Carnaby

    Carnaby will be immersed in positive peon neon lightboxes this year, in partnership with charity Choose Love. With uplifting words lit across the entirety of the street, the installation shares a powerful message of love, unity and hope while also paying tribute to the strength of the UK and encouraging us to continue to be hopeful and kind to one another.

  • Marylebone Village Christmas Lights

    Marylebone Village

    Dazzling lights will illuminate the streets of Marylebone Village this year, spreading Christmas cheer with Merry Marylebone. Although you can’t hit the shops, there will be exclusive online discounts of 20 percent at participating retailers on November 11.
