I’m really very excited to be closing Henley Festival on the Sunday night. I had such fun playing there last time, it’s such a beautiful setting on the banks of the river Thames, not to mention headlining alongside one of my favourite people, Sir Elton John.
Elton John and his band will be performing on Wednesday evening. There’s still one further headline act to be announced for the Saturday night, so check back here for an update.
Ronnie Scott’s, the infamous jazz club, will be pitching camp at the festival as well, with the full Scott’s experience. Expect cabaret style tables and its smoky, jazz-vibes food and cocktails.
Over the years, the festival has become quite renowned for its foodie nature, and this year’s line-up comes coveted. Michelin-starred chef Daniel Clifford, of Midsummer House, will be taking the reins of the Riverside Restaurant in Henley, with an astounding 950 covers a night during the festival.
I am incredibly excited to work at such an iconic event as Henley. The Riverside Restaurant will be the fine dining offering for guests with dishes such as sautéed scallop, granny smith apple, celeriac and perigold truffle puree and seared Cornish mackerel, piccalilli chantilly, pickled white.
