Many see this as the moment they can truly start getting excited about Christmas, and this year retailers John Lewis have gone for a humorous ad, rather than a tear-jerker.

Their 2016 Christmas advert features a boxer dog named Buster, who’s desperate to try out his owner’s Christmas present.

The music featured on the new John Lewis Christmas advert is a cover of Randy Crawford’s One Day I’ll Fly Away by London electronic group Vaults, which was recorded at Abbey Road studios with a 70-strong choir and 66-piece orchestra.

This year’s advert charity partners are The Wildlife Trusts, who will receive a donation from every soft Buster toy or wild animal toy sold in connection with the ad.
