Moët & Chandon to Open a Private Members’ Summer House in London

Moët & Chandon Summer House

Summer 2018 will be kicking off with the launch of Moët & Chandon’s brand new summer house that combines champagne and culture into one venue for three days only. The 275-year-old champagne brand is hosting a day-to-night line-up of cultural events, from food tastings to live poetry readings and DJ sets. The private members’ club overlooking Grosvenor Square in Mayfair will be filled with Moët’s renowned spirit of generosity, as well as London’s insider culture crowd.

Set to be the pop-up of the summer, the Summer House’s committee of tastemakers, including Portia Freeman and Jack Guinness, have created an unmissable programme including both complimentary and paid events. Opening day will see a live podcast with The High Low inside the dining room (5:30-6:30pm), and a champagne wine tasting with Moet’s Wine Quality & Communications Manager inside the Sensory Hall (5:30-6:30pm). Serving up a Sunday Roast, Jason Atherton of Michelin-starred Pollen Street Social will take over the Imperial Suite (6:30pm), and a curated performance by former soloist of The Royal Ballet, Eric Underwood can be seen in the Royal Hall (7-8pm).

Saturday kicks off with a poetry reading by Greta Bellamacina inside the Dining Room (10-11am) and a live podcast with Broadcaster and Author Edith Bowman (11:30am- 12:30pm). Model-turned-TV chef Isaac Carew will be hosting lunch from one o’clock until three, and Nick Mulvey will provide the Saturday afternoon soundtrack inside the Grand Hall (5:15-6pm).

The last day of the event will see Jason Atherton serve yet another Sunday feast paired with Moët & Chandon inside the Dining Room (12pm-3pm), and one of Moët’s champagne ambassadors will be on board to take visitors on a journey from grape to glass (1pm-2pm). The award-winning Gospel Touch Choir will perform a dynamic melody of R’n’B and traditional hymns in the Grand Hall from 2-3pm. Last but not least, Jack Guinness will host his very own pub quiz inside the Grand Hall, covering everything pop culture with a sparkle of Moët on top.

10 Best-Selling Champagne Brands in the World

Moët & Chandon are renowned not only for being the biggest champagne brand in the world, but also for always being at the forefront of innovation and hosting only the most memorable parties. It could only be Moët & Chandon, after all, who would create iconic champagne towers poured only with Jeroboams and the world’s first ever champagne vending machine. We can’t wait to see what surprises the new Summer House will hold…

Though their summer house may have closed, Moët haven’t finished celebrating the season yet. Bringing magnums, a champagne pyramid and a special guest DJ to London this June for one day only, you’re invited to the ultimate Moët summer brunch party. For more information, visit Design My Night.

The Moët & Chandon Summer House will take place from Friday 8 – Sunday 10 June.
