In celebration of the company’s latest collection of stylish and lightweight trolleys designed for the dynamic and high-flying jet-setter, the quirky contemporary artist has produced 49 bespoke black cabin-size #MY4810 trolleys, each embossed with a unique Colbert-esque design.

East London’s 47 Brushfield Street will be transformed into a Colbert-infused wonderland, with each of the artist’s limited-edition trolley designs combining to form one expansive store wall. His signature mini Lobster sculptures will also pervade the retail space, featuring in a live screening of his multimedia movie The Year of the Lobster and amongst the store’s captivating window displays.

The collaboration with such a forward-thinking artist highlights Montblanc’s desire to test the boundaries of the luxury market, continually reinventing themselves whilst in-keeping with their long-standing traditional spirit.

Managing Director of Montblanc British Isles, Lynn Serfaty said: ‘Montblanc is excited to embark on this creative journey with our #MY4810 luggage collection. An ultimate symbol of urban mobility, there is no better place to celebrate this new range than in East London and I’m really pleased we have been able to collaborate with such an innovative artist as Philip Colbert. This project touches on our deep involvement with arts and culture as a whole alongside showing the world the breadth of our craftsmanship in other areas of life alongside writing. I can’t wait to see visitors immerse themselves in the exploration of this new Montblanc pop-art-world.’

Philip Colbert stated: ‘The pop-up and trolleys act as vehicles to transport visitors to my personal art world: this cartoon reality of Lobster Land, where my alter ego resides. This is the core to my interactive, multi-disciplinary practice. I want to make people feel that, when they are surrounded by art, they have the power to achieve anything.’

Montblanc’s limited edition trolleys will be available to purchase at the eccentric pop-up store, along with their Extreme 2.0 and Summit 2 lines, the ideal temptation for fine leather, watchmaking and travel enthusiasts. Visit the immersive pop-up store between 15 – 20 October at 47 Brushfield Street, Spitalfields, E1.
