Welcome to our new column, every Tuesday we will be uncovering shopping finds with a focus on sustainability; if you love shopping and are focused on creating a smaller footprint in the world, we have done the hard work for you and are only featuring brands that have made an impact in this arena. While we know the only way to truly be sustainable is not to buy anything at all we realise it is not a reality for most. We hope to focus on forever pieces that you will love and will spark joy for a lifetime.

P.E Nation

P.E Nation are known for their ultra chic utilitarian street and activewear that has been worn by many a style star. Built to last a lifetime, they have now turned their focus to creating sustainable collections using materials derived from recyclable sources where possible. Their website now also enables customers to search their ‘ Conscious Edit’ which denotes items made in this way.

Choose from organic cotton tanks or items made with Econyl, a form of nylon that is made entirely from waste products such as abandoned fishing nets, carpets, and rigid textiles and aims to be a green alternative to the original product which is made from a derivative of oil.

In addition to fabric-based improvements, all packaging is now fully recyclable. Think compostable envelopes and satchels and the P.E Nation drawstring bags are now made from rPET (material made using recycled PET plastic).
