It’s quite possible to be stuck in a routine-rut even on weekends. Well, now that you’re admitting it to yourself…we’re here to douse you in ice cold, Kultur-Aid to get you up and out, seeing and doing. In addition to our daily ‘What to do Today’ features, we bring you ‘What to do This Weekend’ so that you’re never without a plan.

Saturday

First on the docket, for today 24 February… get yourself to Pop Brixton’s miniature French quarter for an immersive experience of New Orleans.

A daytime line-up of activities and crafts, kid and adult friendly, to an evening of costumes, live music and dancing will get you caught up on last week’s Mardi Gras’ festivities in The States. Get your fortune told and fuel yourself with Louisiana’s famous food to prepare for the night’s ‘Magical Mythological’ parade. Togas are welcome at this sumptuous wine festival of Dionysus. Dom Pipkin, The Iko’s and DJ Lil’ Koko are among today’s musicians serving up soul, funk, RnB and all-around Mardi Gras musical mayhem. Do get caught up in it all, but not so much so that you miss out on the cajun sausage puffs with bourbon mustard by Homegrown.
