Celebrate International Margarita Day
Ella Canta‘s Patrón Margarita menu is the ticket. Taste tradition with a twist in the spicy, fresh and punchy Mayahuel with Maestro Dobel Humito, St Germain elderflower liqueur, lime, salty chilli grapefruit shrub, Peychaud’s Bitters and Amargo Vallet Bitter Liqueur. Citrus-heads, go for the Calavera, made with Patrón Silver Tequila, Patron Citrónge, orange marmalade, grapefruit, lime and lemon verbena syrup. And do try the Daisy-Do, which uses kaffir lime leaf infused with Patron Silver Tequila, mixed with pear purée, lime, homemade ginger syrup, egg white and sage. The antojitos at Ella Canta will not go amiss either. Authentic yet contemporary is the way with culinary whizz Martha Ortiz.
You can also strike Patrón gold in Fitzrovia tonight. Head to the Fiesta de Tequila at Sanderson London’s The Long Bar and let margarita mayhem ensue, plus enjoy a DJ, Mariachi Band and a Mexican inspired floral headdress station.
Wahaca is also a good bet for tonight. Today you can try a spin on their classic, the ‘Blood Orange Margarita’, shaken with a sweet tang of blood orange & Altos Blanco tequila.
