Running out of alcohol-free activities to fill up your January calendar? Check out Amplify Your Dry January: a series of events and pop-ups taking place across the capital, created in collaboration with new non-alcoholic spirit, Amplify.
Dry January doesn’t have to mean no socialising. Amplify are providing refreshing hangover-free drinks at a number of lovely London spots, including boutique blow dry salon Duck & Dry, Bethnal Green’s co-working space Fugitive Motel, and Skylight Rooftop.
They’ve also teamed up with MasterPeace in Eccleston Yards, who offer mindful art experiences in which guests create personal works of art with help from professionals. Using light as a guide, guests turn their favourite images into paintings to take home – and throughout January, you can do it with an Amplify drink in hand. Another place to get creative is Collage Club in Coal Drops Yard, a workshop series offering activities such as speed-collaging and collaborative image-making. On 21 January, Amplify will be providing drinks for one of their sessions.
Looking to kick-start your 2020 fitness regime? Ministry of Sound are hosting a special yoga class at their Farringdon venue, after which participants will be treated to Amplify & Tonic. Alternatively, take part in a run with Les Mills UK, London’s biggest running club. Pound the pavements and battle through an exclusive CXWORX masterclass before being rewarded with an Amplify drink at The London City Runners Clubhouse in Bermondsey.
One of the biggest Dry January-friendly events taking place this year is The Mindful Drinking Festival, returning to the Old Truman Brewery on 18 and 19 January. Launched by Club Soda, the ‘Mindful Drinking Movement’ and campaign spearheading non-alcoholic drinking, the festival will give visitors a chance to try an array of low and non-alcoholic brands – from craft beers, to wines, spirits, lower-sugar sodas, tonics and infusions – and enjoy the concept of mindful drinking.
Indulge in delicious cocktails with Australian drinks brand Lyre’s Non-Alcoholic Spirits, take part in a free cocktail masterclass and learn to make your own tasty booze-free beverages at home with an array of alcohol-free aficionados, or head to the Champs Motivation Stage for a range of motivational talks and panel discussions from the likes of Sober Girl Society, Love Sober, Andy Ramage, Toni Jones and Alice Rickard.
Various locations around London.
Events run throughout January 2020.
