Looking for something out of the ordinary this September? Food and film lovers will love aqua nueva’s inaugural Movie Menu event Jamón Jamón. Diners will enjoy an exquisite eight-course menu crafted by head chef Yahir Gonzalez, while enjoying a screening of the 90s cult classic comedy drama starring Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz. The dishes include tasty Spanish flavours inspired by the movie and its location, from potato omelettes to short rib beef.
The flavours and presentation are as OTT and punchy as the film itself, with the tongue-in-cheek representation of noteworthy moments in the film making the whole experience a blast. This is experimental dining at its best, with nothing taken too seriously beyond the flavours themselves, which are undeniably good.
The event takes place in one of the restaurant’s low-lit, intimate private dining rooms, with playful, inventive dishes served (with impeccable timing) to match up with key scenes from the film, paired with drinks.
This could just be the perfect date night. (As long as your +1 has a good sense of humour.)
