This one-off class will be held in London’s highest public garden as 180 people take part in the Barry’s Bootcamp X Sky Garden event in aid of Alzheimer’s Society. This special event hosted by the international fitness phenomenon will have attendees jumping, squatting and sweating to raise money to support ongoing research into dementia.
Widely regarded to be ‘The Best Workout in the World’, Barry’s Bootcamp is an immersive, high energy cardio and strength interval workout which promises a fun and easy way to get lean, fast. Since being founded in Los Angeles back in 1998, Barry’s now boasts over 40,000 loyal members in over 38 locations worldwide who attend the famous dimly-lit red studios to experience a high-intensity training class (HIT) like no other. Now for the second time, Barry’s X Sky Garden returns to the 155-metre-high venue for an evening of exercise, music, food, drink and charity.
The class will see Fenchurch Street’s Sky Garden be transformed into a traditional Barry’s Bootcamp studio complete with all its traditional bells and whistles. Dim lights and loud music will set the scene and once you’ve been sufficiently worked out, you can enjoy an array of treats provided by some of Barry’s partners including Ahi Poke offering their nourishing Hawaiian poke and Get a Drip contributing their much-needed reviving IV Vitamin Drops.
Following on from the pledge signed by the Mayor of London back in May to make London dementia-friendly by 2022, attending this class can help contribute to the information, support, research and campaigning Alzheimer’s Society provides. Barry’s X Sky Garden is just one part of the company’s ongoing commitment to raising funds ‘for charities we really believe in’ says Sandy Macaskill, Co-Owner and Master Trainer at Barry’s Bootcamp London. Barry’s is ‘delighted to have the opportunity to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society’ and with 180 tickets being sold at £80 a pop where 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Dementia Revolution campaign, Barry’s is sure to make a difference to this worthy cause.
