A kitsch combination of a village fete and a country fair, Blakemere Village’s Countryside Fair is a wonderful way to spend time outdoors with the family in the sweet village of Blakemere, Cheshire. Celebrating the British outdoors and all the amenities the village has to offer, the fair will include a stalls showcasing artisan makers, arts and crafts activities, fun fair rides, street food stalls and an al fresco bar, live music and a bunch of demonstrations including Chain Saw Carving, Mountain Bike Show, and Dog and Duck Shows.
On both days of the fair, free dog shows will be held with the categories Best Dressed, Shiniest Coat, Cutest Puppy, Best Junior Handler and Dog the Judges Would Most Like to Take Home. So, if you’re pooch-proud, submit them for registration before 12 and be in with the chance to win the grand title of Best in Show!
Some of the outdoor activities include archery, Segway rides, crazy golf and a play barn. Crafty types can enjoy pottery painting, beer lovers can taste the goods of local micro-breweries and shoppers can discover small independent shops selling artisan gifts, fashion and jewellery. Also, do take the time to explore the rest of the village which boasts unique shops, cafes and is a hub for antique and vintage homeware.
