10 x 10 was founded with the a two-pronged ethos; helping small charities get the funding necessary to make a real impact and helping people find a philanthropic cause they truly believe in.
Since launching in London in 2017, 10×10 have engaged 600 young professionals, supported 15 grassroots charities and raised over £135,000 to implement innovative solutions to social problems in the UK. Now with its latest event in Shoreditch, you have the opportunity to get involved.
The night works as follows; three charities pitch to the audience and judges, after which charity experts (including the founder and former CEO of JustGiving) question them. Then you get to decide which charity receives your pledge which you paid with the price of your ticket. Essentially, it’s Dragons Den for a good cause.
Charities on the agenda include Lifelites who work to enrich the lives of children in hospice by providing assistive and inclusive technologies relevant to their needs; Drake Music, an organisation working to make music accessible for all that hopes to get disabled and non-disabled musicians working together as equals; and Code Your Future, a coding school for disadvantaged and underrepresented groups.
