Supporting refugees worldwide, Choose Love is a charity shop with a difference, enabling visitors the opportunity to connect with and purchase essential supplies which are distributed to those in need, from Europe to North America and the Middle East.
Established by refugee charity Help Refugees, which provides funding, material aid and volunteers to help those who have been forced to flee their country, the Choose Love retail campaign is coming to London’s Carnaby Street this year encouraging people to give back this Christmas.
In contrast to donating money, visitors will see first hand what a difference their help can make by connecting with the supplies in both an educational and retail space. There will a range of essentials available to purchase – with prices ranging from £5 to £550 – from wash bags to baby products and winter clothes. This year, Choose Love also introduces the COVID-19 Support Pack and Support For Unaccompanied Children. Packs and products are also available to purchase online, as well as a selection of personalised e-gift cards.
Carnaby’s Christmas lights this year are also paying homage to the campaign, created in partnership with Choose Love and featuring an array of pink neon lightboxes and uplifting messages.
Dawn O’Porter, Choose Love co-founder said: “When I co-Founded Choose Love, just over 5 years ago, I never dreamt that we would be working in 15 countries across the globe, funding over 120 incredible, effective, needs-led organisations supporting refugees and opening a shop on iconic Carnaby Street. Let alone that Carnaby street would be emblazoned in pink sparkles and lights with our slogan and message to the world, Choose Love. It’s an honour and a dream and will help us do what it takes this winter to respond to the vast needs that we are seeing on the ground as a result of the already freezing cold temperatures and the effects of the pandemic.”
