The essential summer festival for dog lovers around the UK, DogFest is returning this year for its seventh edition with a smashing line up of canine-inspired events, activities, entertainment and more. First launched back in 2013, the annual festival centres around ‘the unconditional love shared between man and dog’, encouraging any owner and their pup to join for a weekend of four-legged fun.
Taking place across three spectacular countryside locations, from Knebworth House to Tatton Park and Ashton Court, this year places a spotlight on wellbeing and education, spanning first aid training, nutrition and even the mental health benefits of walking your furry friend.
From hale-bay racing to dog diving (for those that love splashing around), agility training and flyball, there is plenty get involved with. Pups will love The Great Dog Walk, an annual 2k or 4k walk around the venue’s rural grounds, as well as the shopping areas, where they might even snag a treat (or two).
Special guest Professor Noel Fitzpatrick will be making an appearance on the live stage at the Hertfordshire edition, whilst Clare Balding will be leading the Great Walk. There will also be a wellness hub, puppy zone and dog show taking place across the three festivals.

After a fun-filled day spent at the festival, rest up at one of our recommended hotels. If attending the Hertfordshire edition, pitch up for the night at Sopwell House in the historical city of St Albans, just a short car journey from Knebworth. If it’s Tatton Park you’ll be visiting, reside at the charming Oddfellows on the Park, or the Georgian Bath-stone Blackwell House for Ashton Court.
