In an epic Easter egg hunt across the vast grounds of Burton Agnes Hall in East Yorkshire, children will have the opportunity to be detectives for the day, in the hunt for Easter eggs. The trail, running from April 6 – 22, involves solving clues in the setting of the venue’s rich gardens, a fun way to explore and be in nature whilst keeping all eyes on the prize – a chocolatey treat which each participant will be awarded once the trail is finished and the hunt, over. The trail also boasts puzzles and games to play whilst enjoying the trail, and to get the little ones even more excited and determined to find their prize, there’ll be a special golden Easter egg, hidden somewhere amongst the grounds of Burton Agnes Hall, which the mischevious Easter bunny has hidden for small participants to find.
On Easter day itself and the day after, (April 21 – 22) there will be another Easter Egg hunt, this time with the Easter bunny. The grounds of Burton Agnes Hall will be full to the brim of delicious chocolate Easter eggs, hidden away but not too hard to find, ready for children, accompanied by the Easter bunny, to find. With thousands of eggs being hidden in the woodland, it’s a great exploring activity with treats waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. The grounds of the hall are also home to a yew tree maze. Here, families can play games such as chess, snakes and ladders, draughts, quoits, and hopscotch. Around the corner you’ll find the Children’s Corner, a serene hideaway to watch butterflies and bees flit around, and admire the riotous array of spring flowers on show. Please note that as there will be chocolate eggs hidden, dogs are not permitted in the Woodland Walk during the hunts.
