Yoga + brunch = the perfect Saturday morning. Especially when your class takes place at the iconic Royal Exchange, and breakfast is from Fortnum’s. This is the set-up being offered in the new Equinox Summer Series, launched to celebrate the arrival of Equinox in the city. Guests are invited to a yoga flow and breath work session within the eight-column portico of The Royal Exchange, taught by Equinox instructors Danielle Wells and Mia Togo. Afterwards, tuck into a delicious brunch at The Fortnum’s Bar and Restaurant in the Central Courtyard, where you’ll find dishes like matcha pancakes with coconut yoghurt and fruit salad alongside detoxifying juices.
Equinox Bishopsgate will open later this year, following the immense popularity of its first two London branches. The swanky US gym chain found its first UK home on Kensington High Street back in 2012, with a second following in St James’ a few years later. The new city branch will offer over 10 dynamic classes a week, a hot yoga studio and a spinning studio, alongside a luxury spa providing regenerative treatments.
The Royal Exchange, meanwhile, is home to a wide selection of brands including Boodles, Jo Malone, Tiffany & Co and the recently opened Cutter and Squidge.
