There are few events as quintessentially English as the Chelsea Flower Show, and for those who truly want to immerse themselves in all things floral the Jacqueline Rufus Isaacs exhibition is one to put on your itinerary.
Hosted by renowned interior design firm Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler in their stunning Pimlico Road showroom, the exhibition will be a wonderful exploration into horticulture in all its florid glory. Beautiful composition and a joyous use of colour make the paintings a pleasure to behold.
About 15 years ago I took up painting as a hobby. I had always loved drawing and painting. I come from a family which includes some talented artists. I am fortunate to have had some very special teachers who have inspired and influenced me. Most of my paintings are abstract or figurative but also Still Life and flowers with emphasis on colours. I was thrilled and honoured, if not rather daunted, when Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler very kindly offered to show my paintings at their prestigious premises in Pimlico Road during Chelsea Flower Show – Jacqueline Rufus Isaacs
Each of the beautiful pieces hold special significance for Isaacs with connections to her home in the country, her affinity with shapes, and of course her favourite flower all coming through in her work. All pieces are on sale with prices ranging from £450 to £900.
