London’s coveted Covent Garden will play host to the capital’s first ever inaugural London Beauty Week this September, where the luxury food, fashion and beauty destination will transform into a beauty enthusiast’s dream destination.
Visitors will delight in a series of beauty-based events, instillations, pop-ups and more from a range of exciting and renowned brands across the shopping district. Attend a panel discussion on Floral Street exploring subjects such as ‘Sustainability is not a slogan’, ‘Beauty Fake News’, and ‘Changing the beauty conversation on Instagram’, from a host of impressive and influential experts and panelists including author and co founder of Hemsley & Hemsley, Jasmine Hemsley, Glamour Magazine’s editor in chief, Deborah Joseph, and British model and activist Charlie Howard.
Meanwhile, on Covent Garden’s East Piazza, there will be an exciting and interactive ‘Beauty Playground’ pop-up showcasing the best in beauty. Indulge in ‘Nice Cream’ from sustainable and ethical brand Weleda Skin Food, discover your perfume persona using Floral Street Fragrance’s ‘magical’ spin-the-wheel, or explore Molton Brown’s latest Eau du Parfum collection with a personalised fragrance consultation. There will also be opportunity for guests to deposit any unused and unwanted beauty beauty products, in which all will be donated to The Beauty Bank, a non-profit organisation providing individuals in need with essential toiletries and products.
Visitors can also take part in a Glossybox hosted ‘treasure hunt’ around the luxury shopping region; prizes are worth an incredible £100 or more from prominent beauty brands such as Artelier Cologne, Miller Harris and Nars.
Covent Garden’s director, Michelle McGrath, said: “Covent Garden is proud to be a founding member of London Beauty Week and work alongside the British Beauty Council to bring this to this event to life for the first time. Covent Garden has London’s biggest selection of global beauty brands per square metre, so this is an opportunity to celebrate and discover new innovation in this increasingly valuable industry as it continues to grow.”
