Get buzzed on beans at Shoreditch’s Old Truman Brewery, which is being transformed into a coffee-lovers heaven this March. Guests can peruse over 250 exhibitors from all over the world, from artisan coffee to industry pioneers to start-ups, alongside a number of fun coffee-related activities. Highlights include latte art workshops, a multi-sensory coffee tasting experience, barista classes, and a coffee art project showcasing work from emerging and established artists who share a passion for great coffee. There will also be a battle of the beans, where 20 contenders will go head to head across a range of coffee challenges, with a panel of industry figureheads on hand to determine who deserves the much-coveted title of Coffee Master.
All the talk of caffeine and no food made you hungry? Fear not: there will be plenty of dining options to choose from, including Folkestone-inspired Crabbieshack, Mexican street food stall DF Mexico, and risotto ball specialists Arancini Brothers. Enjoy alongside espresso martinis, live music and DJ sets.
The London Coffee Festival began seven years ago, with the aim of celebrating London’s rising coffee scene. In its first year the event attracted over 7000 visitors and 100 exhibitors, suggesting there was a big coffee community out there – which has grown and grown ever since.
