Outdoor cinemas were popping up all over London this summer, with the long barmy days and nights proving the perfect scene for an outdoor cinematic experience. Now, with the arrival of the Luna Winter Cinema, the fun can continue on into winter. The Luna Winter Cinema will run from December 17th – 23rd, in three different venues; the Pavilion of Kensington Palace in West London, Evolutionary Arts Factory, the grand Art Deco cinema in East London, and St. George’s Hall in Liverpool. Each one will be fully heated, a wintry escape from the cold outside with mince pies, mulled wine and hot chocolate ready to be curled up with, while snowflakes gently fall.
Founded in 2008 with a viewing of ‘Some Like it Hot‘ in Dulwich Park, Luna Cinema is now the largest outdoor cinema provider in the country, bringing over 175 screenings to over 60 independent locations in the UK. Guests can always expect to be taken care of with food and drinks and helpful service, with the option to be a premium guest which often includes butler service and the best seats in the house. A visit to this year’s Luna Winter Cinema is a unique way to celebrate the Christmas season, away from the frantic shopping and event prep that it tends to bring. Snuggle up with family, friends or a special date and enjoy feel-good Christmas classics such as ‘Elf’, ‘Home Alone’ and ‘Love Actually’.
Described by George Wood, Luna Cinema’s founder, as being the ‘go-to Christmas bubble of joy this winter’, we can’t wait to book our tickets and get excited for the season ahead by spending a cosy evening with some of our favourite Christmassy treats – mulled wine, hot chocolate and a feel-good classic flick on the big screen.
December 17 – 23
