The acclaimed Smithfield market bar Oriole, best known for their old-school glamour style, is partnering with Burmese restaurant, Lahpet for the first in the bar’s “Supper Club With” series.
To kick things off, the dream team duo are hosting a one-night only kitchen collaboration to take place in Oriole on Wednesday 10 April. Together Oriole’s Head Chef Gustavo Giallonardo and the Head Chef of Lahpet, Zaw Mahesh, have curated an exciting and delicious menu which skilfully fuses the flavours of Myanmar with Pan-Latin cuisine.
The four-course menu consists of taster plates that include silken truffle tofu, ginger salad tostadas and dreamy cassava coconut cake. To accompany the food’s flavour, the evening’s entertainment will begin at 9.00pm with music by London-based jazz band, Baraka, playing a mix of South African swing, Caribbean shuffle, Brazilian beats and more – the perfect soundtrack for your feast. It’s not one to miss but if you do, keep an eye out for Oriole’s upcoming supper clubs here.
