Looking for an alternative Valentine’s Day date idea? You can ‘join Andy Warhol for tea’ to celebrate the launch of Nina Saunders’ new limited-edition print, a rare photograph of Andy Warhol taken at the infamous Ritz Hotel, London in the 70s.
The image has never before been publicly displayed, and Saunders breathes fresh life into the image with her hot pink silk screen. Her technique was inspired by Warhol’s colour-block reproduction, and the limited-edition run of 10 signed copies will be available to buy for £1500, with £75 going to The British Heart Foundation in memory of Warhol, who died from a heart problem. Buyers will also be invited to experience the ‘Tea with Andy’ experience at the gallery.
The tea experience will allow guests to settle into an elegant vintage table setting with a loved one and enjoy cake and tea as you enjoy the company of one of the most iconic artists of our time.
