Looking for a fun family-friendly event to spend the August bank holiday at? Discover The 41st edition of the Havering Show, a festival running over the Sunday and Monday of the long weekend. For just £3 per adult and no cost for kids under 10, you’ll gain access to all that the creative ongoings that the festival has to offer.
The 41st Havering Show boasts a jolly backdrop of musical talents spread over three stages. On the main stage, enjoy an Amy Winehouse tribute and celebration, a Robbie Williams tribute, Tina Turner tribute, as well as performances by Santana, Eban Brown and TopLoader. The Community Performance stage will host local theatre groups, performers and dance troups, many of which are led by children, a great way to get your young ones interested in developing creative skills and practices. The stage will enjoy performances by Dreams dance academy, Brookside Theatre, Thameside Young Producers performing fan favourites from musicals, Blythe Theatre, Emery Stage School with song and dance, and the Newtonettes.
In between catching performances, whether that’s dance, theatre or music, spend the days exploring the rest of the festival; a variety of street food stalls and a farmers market to explore local producers and take foodie goodies home with you; a mini farm; a fairground; fire engine displays and military vehicles, and fun sporting activites such as egg ‘n’ spoon races, basketball, football, relay races and more.
