Bristol’s beloved winter pop-up is returning to Millennium Square this November for another run of fun-filled wintry and Christmas-themed activities. Curated by Bristol-based company Pure Spaces, whose Ibiza-style Bristol Beach Bar proved hugely popular in the summer, The Square will bring a slice of winter wonderland to the southwest city this Christmas.
Cosy up and indulge in a warming Mulled wine or cider at the Après Bar, whith live music playing on Thursday nights and DJ events running through the weekend, and be dazzled by a spectacular new immersive art instillation, Submergence by Squidsoup, an illuminative and magical artwork fusing thousands of individual points of suspended light.
If you’re looking to have a little riotous fun, BUMP Rollerdisco will be returning to The Square, taking place within an innovative upcycled mobile roller rink, where guests can take part in a range of rollerskating classes, skate with Santa sessions, and a Charity BUMP Roller Contest alongside delicious drinks from the Disco Ball Bar. There will also be an array of free classic film screenings from We The Curious Big Screen Bristol, plenty of fantastic food and drink from pizzeria Pepe Nero and a range of winter tipi’s to relax and snuggle up in with friends and family.
Pure Spaces’ Operations Manager, Jon Ojo said: ‘Pure Spaces are delighted to be working with We The Curious again to create Winter at the Square. After the success of the Bristol Beach Club and Apres bar, we’re coming back bigger and better for the people of Bristol over the festive period. Our good friends Bump Roller Disco will be back on the square to offer a more sustainable alternative to the ice rink of previous years. We have lots of great surprises in store and can’t wait to get going!’
