Veuve Clicquot, one of the world’s finest champagne brands, has annouced that for the first time in 47 years, their annual Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award event will be open to the public. Held at The London Design Museum on the eve of May 23rd, the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award will celebrate women in business by awarding three exceptional women awards. This year’s finalists are Alex Mahon of Channel 4, Poppy Gustafsson of Darktrace, Cecilia Crossley of From Babies with Love, Susie Ma of Tropic Skincare, Sherry Coutu CBE of Founders4Schools and Jo Whitfield of Co-op Food.
The awards ceremony event has been running for 47 years in 23 countries, and is inspired by Madame Clicquot, the French businesswomen renowned as the ‘Grande Dame of Champagne’. After her husband died when she was just 27, Madame Clicquot took over the business and propelled it into huge success by developing and utilising a then very innovative technique in the champagne industry. Still an imporartant figurehead for businesswomen today, the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award celebrates the best of businesswomen and in the past has given awards to some of the UK’s most exceptionally impressive businesswomen such as architect Dame Zaha Hadid and Liv Garfield, CEO of Severn Trent.
This year’s event is set to attract budding businesspeople everwhere, as it opens to the public for the first time and takes on an ‘in conversation with’ layout. There’ll be opportunities to inspire, be inspired, and connect with likeminded people through a line-up of mini events ongoing throughout the evening. So if you’re a trailblazer or want to get a headstart on the path to becoming one, apply for tickets to this prestigious awards evening and mingle amongst the crème de la crème of the UK’s businesswomen.
