Sometimes, tea and scones alone just won’t do…
Who doesn’t love a good Afternoon Tea? We at C&TH certainly do (and you can find our absolute favourites here) – but we must say, this one in particular is just the ticket for an unforgettable day out…
To celebrate Afternoon Tea Week (14-20 August 2018) and the anniversary of Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé, Belmond have organised the ultimate Afternoon Tea experience aboard their luxury private train, the British Pullman. Though the elegant days of the Orient Express are long gone, this is undoubtedly the next best thing – with an equal helping of unbridled glamour.
Relive the golden age of locomotive travel aboard the Belmond British Pullman for this special one-off event, an exclusive trip which will take guests on a three-hour journey through the scenic English countryside as they enjoy the glamour of a classic British Afternoon Tea. The trip includes an exclusively designed Afternoon Tea featuring sumptuous sandwiches and savouries, cakes, pastries and scones, as well as onboard entertainment, petits fours and a bottle of Champagne Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé to add an extra sparkle to the experience.
Think crisp white tablecloths, sparkling crystal and fine bespoke china, white-gloved waiters and classic train décor – you’ll be immersed and whisked back to a more elegant era, à la James Bond and Hercule Poirot (minus the murder). Aboard, you’ll find only the finest, the menu exclusively crafted by award-winning chef Claire Clark MBE and beautifully accompanied by Laurent-Perrier’s Cuvée Rose and a tea blend created specially for the occasion by Tregothnan. Now that’s service!
When & How?
