The muse of Tonight Josephine’s sister bar Gloria taught David Bowie how to do his make up – and some say she dated Jimi Hendrix. ‘Gloria always threw the best parties,’ we’re told. It makes sense, then, that Blame Gloria hosts one of the most extravagant drag brunches in town, complete with dance-offs and all the drinks. Spice Girls or Destiny’s Child? Sugababes or Pussycat Dolls? It’s battle of the 90s girl bands at this Clapham brunch party, led by hosts Mahatma Khandi and Georgie Bee. But it’s not only the drag hosts who’ll be competing in singalong showdowns – guests will also go head-to-head in a game of bingo, made all the more entertaining with bottomless bubbles. Opened just this summer in Covent Garden, Mrs Riot is a bistro and cocktail bar inspired by pioneering feminist Kitty Clive, a stage star of the 1700s. Every Saturday the venue hosts a bottomless drag queen brunch, complete with lip sync battles, bingo, games and dance offs. To keep spirits high, free-flowing cocktails are served in teapots – think frothy pink Bellinis and rosehip concoctions – alongside vegan cupcakes from Ruby’s of London. Drag & Waffle Bottomless Brunch at Queen of Hoxton

Waffles, prosecco and all the party vibes await at Queen of Hoxton’s lively drag brunch.
