The perfect break from watching the World Cup or a Father’s Day bonding activity….

On Sunday 17 June, the Cartier Queen’s Cup Final will culminate one of the world’s leading polo tournaments with a most impressive display of pony power. At 3pm, Park Place will play La Indiana on The Queen’s Ground at Guards Polo Club in Windsor. The 10-goal stars and other big names in the game are rivalled by one other name historically in attendance: The Queen. She presented the coveted trophy to Guards Polo Club in 1960 for the first time. Since then, Cartier’s VIP guest list and packed grandstands have shaped the event into the flashy Who’s Who of polo occasion it is today.

Here’s the Deal with the Cartier Queen’s Cup Final

Guards Polo Club

Normally a private members’ club, Guards Polo Club opens its doors to offer a variety of ways to enjoy the match. The experiences are created by hospitality experts Mosimann’s (founded by Chef Anton Mosimann OBE who cooked the wedding dinner at Buckingham Palace for TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge).

There is now only a limited number of places still available, so those interested in booking should call the Ticket Office on 01784 221 090 to secure a Clubhouse table.

Clubhouse

The all-day Clubhouse Hospitality package allows guests to enjoy the Members’ Clubhouse whether it be the private hire of the Stick Room for up to 50 guests or the entire Clubhouse Restaurant for a maximum of 200 guests. A Champagne Laurent-Perrier reception; 3-course lunch plus petit fours, half a bottle of wine per person, half a bottle of Hildon Water per person, afternoon tea, car pass and allocated parking, South Grandstand seat, Guards Polo Club Yearbook and Cartier Queen’s Cup programme are included. £275 inc VAT for members; £400 inc VAT for non members.

A three-course lunch with wine, a clubhouse steward, guest day badges and exclusive car passes are among the highlights of the lunchtime hospitality package. £65 + VAT per person for buffet lunch and £95 + VAT per person for table service.

Field-side Entertaining

A private, field-side location is arguably one of the best ever sports watching party premises. The experience of a private marquee with a garden can be tailored to your budget, number of guests and whether you’re after a more formal, seated, three-course dining option or a relaxed live cooking set up. Laurent Perrier Champagne Reception? If you so choose. The Luxury Pitchside Marquee Package (for up to 400 guests) is priced at £300 + VAT per person.

The Royal Box

Attend like the queen. Highlights of The Royal Box include a three-course lunch with wine, traditional afternoon tea and a Royal Box steward and badges. From £225 VAT. Or go for the Champagne Laurent-Perrier afternoon tea package, which offers exclusive use of the Royal Box for up to 40 guests. From £80 + VAT.
