Take a peep into the covetable wardrobe of fashion maven and celebrator of Chinese fashion, Susie Bubble

What are you dressing up for?

The haute couture shows in Paris, London’s summer parties and a festival or two. I will be mixing up 1930s tea dresses, epic Gucci and Margiela looks and some tried and tested pieces from Molly Goddard and Simone Rocha.

Dressing Up Susie Bubble

Wardrobe failsafes?

Polo necks for layering underneath dresses or sheer things, and vintage slip dresses – so useful on holiday.

Under the radar labels?

All the brands I picked for my Celebrate China pop-up at Bicester Village: like knitwear label I-Am-Chen and really directional lingerie from Marie Yat. I love Mukzin who take Chinese references and mix them up unexpectedly.

Everyday uniform?

A pair of Celine wool trousers with Louis Vuitton Archlight trainers and any old tee I can find.

Style crush?

Lynn Yaeger from US Vogue or stylist Shirley Kurata.

Power Dressing Susie Bubble

Power dressing?

Oversized masculine tailoring at Snow Xue Gao.

Summer holiday essentials?

A giant floppy hat, comfy sandals, one pair of uncomfortable showy ones, and far too many swimsuits.

Lounge lizard?

Proenza Schouler camouflage trousers and a Uniqlo heat tech, ready for grubby toddler hands.

Finishing touches?

A spritz of Gucci Bloom, any bag that fits my portable phone charger (my favourites are Mansur Gavriel and Staud), evening slipper mules and a giant pair of clip-on earrings by Alessandra Rich.

Finishing Touches Susie Bubble

Country walk?

My vintage patchwork quilted jacket, thick John Lewis school tights that you can layer and wear as leggings and my battered Converse that I’ve had since I was 16.

Style cheats?

Bargain hunt wherever possible – especially at Bicester Village – and make sure you are well stocked with the correct hosiery.
