Tine on skincare:

What is the biggest misconception about skincare?

Cleansing your skin in the morning with a foaming cleanser is important, many people assume that it is not important if they cleansed their skin in the evening, but it’s important as you sweat throughout your sleep and water on its own does not remove this! And when it comes to skincare, there is no need to layer hundred of products on your skin! Cleanse, tone with an acid, serum moisturiser and eye cream are all that are needed.

What concerns do your facials target?

Facials create glowing and lifted skin and fight against dull complexion.

What are your best-selling products?

Deep Exfoliating Mask and Night Treatment. Also, Serum Repair and Rose de Vie.

What do you recommend for dry-winter skin?

Deep Exfoliating Mask, Rose de Vie Mask, Rose de Vie Serum, Extreme Maintenance Creme

Is there one treatment or product that you think would benefit everyone?

Serum Repair

To what extend does food affect skin’s health?

Food plays a huge role in skincare! Too much sugar causes glycation and inflammation – your skin’s appearance will look dull and puffy! A good diet high in omega 3 (oily fish) and vegetables will provide you with healthy and glowing skin. Proteins are import as the create building blocks (muscles). Also probiotics to restore a healthy bacteria population in your gut for the immune system and to manufacture serotonin for the mood.

Have there been any launches recently?

Our new eye creams. The eye area is a very important area that needs to be looked after – it is tricky for cosmetic treatments and so skincare is very important. The skin around the eyes is thin and very delicate so needs hydrating.

Dr. Sebagh on clinical treatments:

The most popular treatment at the clinic?

Botox: it’s like the little black dress – it will never go out of fashion!

Is there one treatment or product that you think would benefit everyone?

Every patient is different, and everything I do is bespoke – each face will age differently and so what works for you, might not work for someone else, a consultation is always best.

Which of your treatments are you the most excited about?

Always the newest ones!  With the new advances in cosmetic treatments, we have some great machines at the clinic that can be combined together with existing treatments.

What is the down-time like after your treatments?

Well that depends on the treatment – and the patient. A while ago, we would have a conversation about the down time and the effects of the treatment, but nowadays my patients don’t have the time to be out of action for 7 days and they also don’t want the results that the old facelifts would have – it is all about age maintenance these days, looking your best self for longer, not looking like a completely different person!

What is the ‘Meso Glow’?

Otherwise known as Mesotherapy, it is a bespoke rejuvenating cocktail, delivered via virtually painless air gun injections, contains an exclusive vitamin and mineral complex formulated by Dr. Sebagh to nourish, hydrate and protect the skin. This is brilliant for a special occasion or as a pre-party treatment and is designed to give complexions a boost of vitality and that elusive glow, which may have friends asking if you’ve been on holiday!

To whom would you recommend a Silhouette Soft Lift?

A patient who wants to have redefined facial contours, restored volume and wrinkle reduction. This treatment combines two effects: lifting and regenerating by repositioning the fat pads of the lower face with the bidirectional absorbable thread cones, the principal component of which is polylactic acid (PLA), biocompatible with humans and is also biodegradable. Once the thread is applied, the polylactic acid acts on the deeper layers of the skin and naturally stimulates the body so that it produces its own collagen. This action, which continues over time, helps increase the volume of saggy areas and restores shapeliness to the face gradually and naturally. It lasts for 18 months. This treatment, combined with Ultralift and radio frequency is my 21st century facelift!
